The trip takes you to the Cloud Forest of Los Angeles, where Villa Blanca Eco-Nature Resort & Spa is located. “The silence of the angels” as it is known as, is waiting to be discovered; a magical opportunity to immerse into the mist of the Cloud Forest and let yourselves be caressed by the eco-friendly comfort of this unique natural destination. Your next destination is the famous & active Arenal Volcano and to top this encounter with nature, the trip takes you to the secluded & idyllic beach of Playa Potrero and the Hotel Mediterraneus.

Day 01: Upon arrival to Juan Santamaria’s International Airport in Costa Rica, and after clearing customs and immigrations, our bilingual representative will be waiting for you to Welcome you to our country, and drive you to Hotel Villa Blanca, in San Ramon de Alajuela, at just an approximate 1 hour drive from the airport. The Villa Blanca experience begins with the unique personality of your private and romantic Honeymoon Casita, with a breathtaking view of the pristine Cloud Forest and fantastic amenities that include open beam ceiling, a custom queen size bed, stocked mini-bar and coffee maker, living room with fireplace, sofa, whirlpoolbathtub and separate shower enclosure, plus a private garden terrace.Each casita is nestled within botanical gardens and surrounded by an 840-hectare (2000 acre) private cloud forest reserve. Take your time for a relaxing massage for 2 at the Serenity SPA of the Hotel and also experience a fine Costa Rican culinary experience at the hotel’s restaurant.

Day 02: From the many different activities available at Villa Blanca, we’ve selected for you a choice between the Horseback riding or zip line Canopy Tour. The Horseback riding tour departs from the horse stables located next door on Finca Julieta, the picturesque dairy farm of the previous president and first lady, Rodrigo and Estrella Carazo. The trail enters the farm through the Cameroon dairy grass pastures. The pasture affords a great opportunity for bird watching on a horseback trail adjacent to the Los Angeles Private Biological Reserve. Conversely, if you prefer the Canopy tour, you will experience the ultimate guided adventure with seven platforms and zip-lines from 30 to 260 meters in length, from where you can see the ecosystems from a bird’s eye view within the treetops and cool mist of this cloud forest. IF thirsty for more, we recommend the optional (& extra cost) Villa Blanca “nocturnal” walk.

Day 03: Our bilingual guide will pick you up this morning to drive you to the Arenal Volcano, admiring along the way the natural setting, the ways of life of the countryside people as well as sharing with you insightful information about Costa Rica. Arenal, one of the world’s most active volcanoes, is one of the country’s major attractions with its impressive, nearly perfectly conical shape. Since renewing its volcanic activity with explosive and destructive force in 1968, Arenal has settled into a period of continual minor eruptions which pose almost no threat to visitors, yet provide spectacular natural pyrotechnic displays (best appreciated after dark). Thermal springs emanate from the base of the volcano's northwestern flank and provide the ideal setting for viewing the fiery show in soothing, relaxing comfort. Your host for the next two nights is the Hotel Arenal Nayara, a romantic hotel surrounded by lush tropical gardens, a large Jacuzzi, pool and wet bar area, a full service SPA and restaurant, with a privileged view of the Arenal Volcano. Every room at Arenal Nayara has been created to provide the utmost in comfort and style while maintaining a close connection with the natural surroundings. Each private casita offers a panoramic view of the volcano and top quality amenities.

Day 04: Breakfast is included at the hotel and the day is yours to enjoy the area and the facilities of the hotel including the Acantha Spa at Arenal Nayara Hotel & Gardens is a complete experience of relaxation for the mind, and if you’re looking for a safe, fun adventure don’t miss the Pure Trek’s Canyoning tour, a rappelling / trekking experience you will really enjoy. The day is yours to explore the Arenal Volcano area.

Day 05: After breakfast or at a convenient time, depart from Arenal to Playa Potrero, in the Province of Guanacaste in the “Golden Coast” of Central America. The Hotel Mediterraneus is a brand-new top quality hotel that offers eco-friendly unique accommodations that offer the last in comfort and style. Close to Mediterraneus Hotel you will find unique beaches like Potrero, Flamingo, Tamarindo, Avellanas, Conchal and Brasilito.

Day 06: Free day to enjoy the Hotel, the Caelitus SPA and the activities available, including Kayaking in the mangroves, horse back riding, canopy tours, fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving or simply relaxing by the beach or by the pool area.

Day 07: Late morning, and well relaxed, our bilingual guide will pick you up at your hotel for the return drive to the city* and he’ll drive to the spectacular Xandari Resort located in the outskirts of the city, yet at a near distance. This 40-acre property is located in a coffee and fruit plantation, with astonishing views of the Central Valley and features a full-service spa in a romantic, secluded ambiance plus two lap pools and Jacuzzi. Each villa is a dream. The architecture is impressive & the art completes the feeling perfectly. Carved doors, stain glass windows, colorful tiles, original artwork & beautiful gardens combine to create a unique Costa Rican experience. All feature large terrace to enjoy the view, an additional private walled terrace for sunbathing, one king size bed or two full size beds, bar sink, coffee maker and refrigerator

Day 08: After spending some precious days in Costa Rica, it’s time to go back home and start a new life together! Our bilingual representative will meet you at the hotel approximately 3 ½ hours prior to your International plane departure time in order to take you to the International Airport. Airport regulations indicate that traveling passengers must check in 3 hours prior to departure. Remember that you must pay a $ 26.00 USD per person departure tax at the airport.

*Note: If preferred, return from Guanacaste to San José can be changed for a local domestic 1-hour flight back to San Jose for an additional cost. This service includes a transfer from the hotel to the airstrip, the local flight and the transfer by our guide from the Airport in San Jose to the hotel. (Note that domestic airlines limit luggage to a maximum of 30 lb per person including personal items and carry-ons)
