Costa Rica on a Budget !

Day 01: Arrival to San José’s Juan Santamaria International Airport. After clearing customs and immigrations our bilingual representative will be waiting in order to take you to your hotel in San Jose. Overnight at Hotel Vesuvio, located in the colonial town of Barrio Amon, in downtown San Jose

Day 02: This morning, and at a most convenient time for you, the rental’s car shuttle transportation service will pick you up at the hotel and take you their office in Alajuela to pick up the rental compact size all terrain vehicle. The rental’s car convenient location allows for you to make a safe and quick departure to Arenal. After filling out the necessary paperwork and once you’ve been given directions and maps, begin your drive to Arenal. This picturesque drive will take you along side country farmland and different crop plantations. Arrive and check in at Hotel San Bosco, in La Fortuna. This evening, we recommend a visit to the Hot Springs, from where on a clear night you will observe the impressive eruptions, followed by fireworks of lava flowing down the Volcano.

Day 03: We recommend a late morning departure to Monteverde. Located among the clouds, Monteverde (the Green Mountain), is nestled amongst the clouds and truly a Mecca of biological study and conservation. First settled by Quaker families coming from North America searching for peace and tranquility, nowadays this small town offers a great array of activities for the adventurer of all ages. One can take great hikes through the different private Reserves to witness the majesty of the Cloud Forest, or go on a horseback ride tour, a thrilling canopy / zip line tour, go the impressive waterfall, go on a rafting or rapelling trip or simply relax enjoying the breathtaking views. Overnight at the family-owned Posada Claro de Luna.

Day 04: The day is yours to discover the richness of this area. For the adventurers, we recommend the canyoning / rappelling trip, a fun-adrenaline filled tour. Nature lovers will delight with a guided walk through the Reserve or with the Safari trip down the Peñas Blancas River. Overnight at Posada Claro de Luna

Day 05: After some days visiting the forests, it’s time to head off to the beach and relax. We’ve selected a stay at Manuel Antonio area, where visitors can enjoy a lot of adventures, yet still be surrounded by the overwhelming jungle. Manuel Antonio’s hotels are located on the main road to the National Park and usually on the hillside, so they are not beach front. Inside the National Park there are three white-sand beaches to chill out during the day. One can also take horse back riding trips, boat tours, kayaking, fishing, and other great day adventures. Day 06: Day at leisure in Manuel Antonio

Day 07: It’s time to head back to the city and the hotel in San Jose.

Day 08: We recommend that approximately 4hours prior to your plane departure time you leave the hotel in your rental car, to return it at the rental’s Airport office, from where they will take you on the shuttle to the Airport.
