"Tropical Safari Honeymoon"
A special honeymoon trip designed for the adventurous couple who not only
wants to experience romantic hotels and settings, but also wants the experience
to be filled with discoveries and explorations of the true rainforest of Costa
Rica. We’ve also included some special details to make it a more romantic
Tropical Safari…
Day
01: Arrival to San José’s Juan Santamaria International Airport.
After clearing customs and immigrations our bilingual representative will
be waiting in order to take you to the rental car’s office near the
Airport. Once here, you will be given your rental 4x4 mid- size SUV (Toyota’s
automatic Rav4 or similar); after filling out the necessary paperwork and
once you have been giving a map and directions begin the short and scenic
2 hour drive to Peace Lodge
(Waterfall Gardens). Here, every sight is magical and with a wondrous smell
and a sensual touch, your stay here will provide irreplaceable memories. Each
room has a Jacuzzi tub and a stone fireplace along with showers than transform
into waterfalls with the turn of the knob. The handcrafted canopy beds and
the original stained glass is just part of the craftsmanship you will see
all around the Lodge, a true oasis in forest.
Day
02: Wake up to the beauty of the area and enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast.
You will have the opportunity to explore the hummingbird gallery, the butterfly
garden and the trails that lead to the different 5 amazing waterfalls inside
the reserve and/or the Lagoon pool and Jacuzzi. At a most convenient time
for you begin your drive to Sarapiquí to check in at Sueño
Azul Resort. This carefully planned retreat is located amidst a large
private hacienda, and offers SPA facilities, yoga and a bountiful natural
setting. Rustic elegance and amazing scenery blend to create a perfect romantic
hideaway.
Day 03: It’s time to explore the Hacienda! This morning we will
take you on a fun horseback riding trip along the property trails on gentle
horses. The tour through the forest leads to the impressive waterfall, where
a private and romantic picnic lunch for the couple will be served. After having
some free time to relax and even take a dip in the mild waters, we will head
back to the lodge.
Day
04: When you’re ready, drive from Sarapiquí to the active
Arenal Volcano area. Along the way, you will admire the beautiful countryside
views, before entering the town of La Fortuna. This small town is the home
of the world-famous Arenal Volcano, which up until 1968, when it awoke from
a long dormancy period with strong eruptions, was believed to be only a mountain.
Ever since, it has maintained its activity and greets visitors with loud rumblings
and impressive lave eruptions very visible on clear nights, that leave everyone
in awe and waiting for more. Overnight at the NEW! Lost
Iguana Resort in their luxury suite, a restful haven after a long
day of adventure. The Jacuzzi baths on deck with views of the Jungle and the
Volcano are a great treat and the other facilities of the suite, including
the dining area with refrigerator and coffee service and the sitting area
make it the perfect romantic getaway.
Day 05: Breakfast is included at the hotel. The day is yours to enjoy
the area and the facilities of the Hotel. The new spectacular double pool
with swim up bar will let you relax in the heated upper level with sunning
shelf and built in seats, or play under the waterfall in the large lower swimming
area, but, if you’re looking for a safe, fun adventure don’t miss
the Pure Trek’s Canyoning
tour, a rappelling / trekking experience you will really enjoy.
Day 06: After breakfast or at a convenient time, depart from Arenal
to beach in Playa Langosta a quiet, very private tropical beach in the North
Pacific Coast of Costa Rica located at only a 10 minute driving distance from
the bustling town of Tamarindo Beach, where restaurants, bars and many night
life options are available. Your beach home will be the elegant Cala
Luna Hotel, a haven for the discriminating couple, offering top-of-the-notch
personalized service, and a romantic setting perfect to enjoy some relaxing
beach time. Their guest rooms are by luxurious vegetation of abundant silver
palms, delicate hibiscus and colorful bougainvilleas. All the rooms have patio
terrace, a/c, fans, fully equipped bathroom with hairdryer, satellite TV,
telephone and private safe. The hotel rooms are so close to the beach that
you can hear the waves.
Day 07: A day at leisure at the beach including breakfast at the hotel.
The hotel is approximately 40 meters away from the beach, along a direct access
path that leads to the pure white sand beach sprinkled with multicolored shells.
Such romantic scenery beckons visitors to stroll along its pristine shoreline,
enjoy the serenity of the sapphire waters, or behold a brilliant sunset draping
the evening with a silvery moonlight that dances atop tranquil waters.
Day
08: The final day at the beach invites you to take part in one of the
available day trips in the area, including entertaining surf lessons, relaxing
kayaking trips in the estuary, water skiing, wind surfing and jungle safari
boat tours, among others. We recommend a late morning or early afternoon return
drive to the city; driving time back to San José is approximately 5
hours. For your last night in San Jose, enjoy the scenic views of the Central
Valley and the fine cuisine of the boutique-style Alta
Hotel, located in the mountains of Santa Ana in the suburbs of the
city. In a relaxed atmosphere of understated elegance, guests at Alta are
pampered with personalized service and have the opportunity to enjoy the striking
glass-tiled pool with its Jacuzzi and the adjacent amenity spa and exercise
room. Inside, is the sauna and massage service is available upon request.
The rental car company will pick up the car at the hotel this afternoon
Day 09: After spending some precious days in Costa Rica, it’s
time to go back home and start a new life together! Our bilingual representative
will meet you at the hotel approximately 3 ½ hours prior to your International
plane departure time in order to take you to the International Airport. Airport
regulations indicate that traveling passengers must check in 3 hours prior
to departure. Remember that you must pay a $ 26.00 USD per person departure
tax at the airport.
