We’re featuring Angela “Lala” Vander Meyden, Director of Alliance Partners at Travelers Haven for this week’s Team Member Tuesday. My favorite thing about Travelers Haven is our commitment to our customers, passion for innovation and consistent drive form improvement. Our team is incredibly talented and connected through a passion to impact our company our community and the lives of our customers. I also love the “Queen” (aka Ryn Jarrett, Vice President of Core Markets), explained Lala.
Lala began her career in the multifamily housing industry after attending Regis University in Colorado. She started as a leasing consultant and worked her way up to an assistant property manager, property manager, a senior property manager, and eventually acquired her own rental property. In the 13 years Lala was on site she managed a variety of properties. Lala’s work history has provided her hands-on expertise in nearly every aspect of corporate housing and property management from sales and portfolio management to training. Additionally, she has also chaired the CCHP Task Force for the last 7 years and is involved in local legislation. In her free time Lala enjoys spending time with her daughters, rescuing kittens, teaching yoga and stand up paddle boarding.
What is the best part about working with our Alliance Partner Program?
It’s wonderful to be able to assist our Alliance Partners with understanding the industry of corporate housing, seeing partners succeed and win reservations, and watch their businesses grow through our partnership. What’s one thing people don’t know about you?
I recently completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training and I’ve been teaching yoga to the Travelers Haven Team.
I am also passionate about rescuing animals. I volunteer with a local cat rescue and have been a part of rescuing, rehabbing and rehoming over 200 kittens and several dogs, as well.
Where’s one place you wish you could travel?
I would love to travel to Greece and island-hop. I love to travel and have been to seven European countries.
